If you want to keep your plants protected from groundhogs, you can put up a fence or a mesh screen around them. Then, place the fencing on the outside of the fence. Don’t leave any windows or doors open. A groundhog will not climb up a wall or window to get at a tomato. If you have tomatoes, it is best to put them in a sheltered area.
